I’m Sam. I’ve always loved being outside and finding animals, so it was really just a matter of time until I started documenting them. Photography became a passion during my 4 years in Colombia, where I first got a telephoto zoom lens to capture the country’s abundant birds.
Since leaving Bogotá, I spent a year in Rio de Janeiro, then packed up and moved to France. More recent travels have taken me to other parts of the world where I’ve enjoyed the process of learning how to photograph new subjects and environments.
Eventually, I put together this website, which just a place to share my shots with anyone curious enough to ask - nothing commercial. However, I’d happy to talk about the places I’ve been and the guides and friends who have helped me explore them.
